Our Story

Originally started in the year 2018, WiREnet was formed by a group of strong, seasoned, established and empowered women professionals in the field of Real Estate and Construction industry with a passion to see the diversity in Real Estate improve, working conditions become more inclusive and more women taking up leadership and even board positions.

Created with a common vision to connect, collaborate, catalyze change and transform the built environment, WiREnet has grown organically into a 200-member strong forum and continues to grow rapidly.

WiREnet World is a registered non-profit Society for Women in Real estate and is an association for women professionals belonging to diverse domains of the real estate industry such as design, engineering, construction, law, academics, engineering, construction, project management and consulting and the workplace industry.

WiREnet World is a knowledge sharing and social networking group to connect women professionals from the real estate, design, engineering, construction and the workplace industry. The goals of this society are to promote gender diversity in the real estate industry, opportunities to lean on experiences and the knowledge of other members and industry professionals and access to also benefit tremendously from the various opportunities for volunteering to enable building on one’s strengths and learning the ropes on any interest areas.

Women professionals with 5+ years of experience from the Real Estate and allied industries: Architecture, Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Contracting, Construction, Project Management, Management and other Consulting, Legal affairs, Development, Investments, Property Management, CRE and more can apply to be a member of WiREnet World.

WiREnet World memberships are awarded on an annual basis from Jan to Dec and membership.
  • Annual Membership Fee: INR. 10,000 + Taxes (GST at 18% applicable) valid from January through December of the Calendar year.
  • Membership fees after 1st April will be prorated on a quarterly basis.
  • Membership fees after 1st October and in the 4th quarter of the year will be available only on a 15 month basis and this will include the fees for the following calendar year.

There are two categories of memberships:
  • Individual
    • Women with minimum 5 years work experience.
    • Members must belonging to Real Estate and allied industries like: Architecture, Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply, Contracting, Construction, Project Management, Management and other Consulting, Legal affairs, Development, Investments, Property Management, CRE etc.
  • Corporate (5 members and above)
    • Every 5 paid memberships will have 1 membership free.
    • Total of 6 Corporate membership will be provided to individual from 1 single organization.
    • Corporate membership is non-transferrable.

No, you do not require a referral to join WiREnet World. Women professionals associated with the built environment industry and with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in this domain / industry are invited to join this group.

Yes, Non-members will have access to limited events on a paid entry format. To ensure you leverage most from this network and the benefits it offers, we encourage all interested candidates to engage with us as a paid member.

Yes, one can apply for membership anytime during the calendar year and membership will be charged on a pro-rata basis.
Scenario 1:If you apply for a membership in March, your membership dues will be calculated pro-rata for months April to Dec of that calendar year. Scenario 2:If you apply for a membership anytime after September, your membership dues will be calculated pro-rata for months Oct to Dec + full membership dues for the following calendar year.

For retired professionals from the industry or those on a sabbatical, WiREnet World offers a unique platform to stay connected with other serving/practicing professionals in the industry while providing opportunities to contribute back to the development and growth of the professionals in the industry through mentoring and volunteering opportunities. WiREnet believes the industry will benefit from the years of experience from this segment of potential members to steer and improve industry practices through the activities of this society.

Yes, all active members will have the opportunity to join the Governing Council and its Sub-Committees . Call for nominations will be announced on an annual basis and is subject to a voting process by its body of members.

The Governing Council is an elected body and the elections are held every two years.

All membership fees will be utilized towards the broader purpose of managing the administration and maintaining the society including all paid services and not limited to the systems, tools, applications and resources towards organizing the daily affairs, the community events and all encompassing initiatives including the functionality, upkeep and regular maintenance of the www.wirenetworld.org website.

Yes, you can maintain your membership with WiREnet World in conjunction with memberships to other professional networking groups. WiREnet World encourages cross-network collaboration and values contributions to other communities.

WiREnet. World expects a member to actively participate in the community events. Members are encouraged to participate, collaborate, contribute and encourage other qualified professionals in the desired categories to engage and become members as well. WiREnet World expects all members and participants to be ethical, professional and be of impact to a wider community for a bigger purpose.

Yes, membership to WiREnet World is open to all eligible candidates across the country. While most in-person events will initially be limited to Bangalore City, the network aspires to expand its presence to all major metros across India. As a growing community, your membership to WiREnet World will provide many more opportunities to connect, learn, volunteer and contribute within a society committed to building a more inclusive and gender-neutral environment.
